1 | Cappadocia is reached via Keyseri which is a 1 hour flight from Istanbul. Mount Erciyes is seen from Kayseri in the background of the driver's window. Erciyes is an extinct volcano (last erupted 2 million years ago). Part of a much larger group of volcanos going back 32 million years. It is the remnants of the volcanic ash erupting from active volcanoes that led to the geological formations of Cappadocia |
